JagBag: A Special Welcome for Newly Diagnosed Families
When your child receives a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder, the flood of emotions and uncertainty can be overwhelming. Leslie Williams, Board President of EmPath for Autism, understands this experience firsthand. When her own child was diagnosed, Leslie was handed a two-inch thick packet filled with paperwork, a list of professionals to contact, and a daunting task of trying to process it all — all while their family began to navigate a path that wasn’t clearly defined.
Recognizing the need for something more supportive and uplifting, Leslie wanted to create a "Welcome to the Club" gift for families and children who are newly diagnosed. The goal was to help lighten the load and encourage smiles during such a challenging time.
